So it does look like the lt1 is a little thinner. Is that correct? If so, that would mean the lt1 might sit a little lower in the valley. That would mean the height measurement would be better from the top to the top of a port.

Yes the belly is lower on the LT1 intake and the L86 intake the ports were touching not the belly (not by much) on that 8.375" measurement.

Hmm. I’m not sure if that’s going to fit at all then. Let’s hope someone has some sitting around to test out fitment.

The measurement is from bottom of the manifold at the head seat face(port) to the top. IMO it is just as easy to measure from top of the actual intake port to peak of the runner.

If I get time I'll take another measurement.

Someone should test this with an FBO car and see what the differences are.

What do you want? The actual roof of the port or the external top lip of the port? (Pic)

Roof of port to top of intake = 7" with a level
Top of intake port to top of intake = 6.25" with a level

That measurement aligns with where I measured Saturday.

Should give 0.5” of clearance to the hood insulation

Snow has my hood frozen right now or I'd look, is there any issue with the cowl maybe hitting It and not the hood or do you think it will sit far enough forward not to bother

I'm thinking that he had mentioned somewhere that it was you but I can't seem to find it.

What's your thoughts on this?
