LT! vs LT4 heads

Any difference between them? Port size, valve size? CC's? vs LT1 heads....

Also, any aftermarket heads out yet?

I know a LT4 blower will not mount to LT1 heads with out adapters or modifications.

Many differences, even down to the combustion chamber are different. Port sizes and valve sizes are the same, but many of the components are different.

Gen V LT1 vs LT4 heads

As far as aftermarket, the only ones that I am aware of are Edelbrock. They have two variants - Perf RPM and Victor, however both have the exhaust ports moved from the factory location and require specific headers (Kooks does make some)

Thanks for the link. The chamber is definitely opened up. The casting looks similar to a LT1. Someone on the site said the 4's could probably be drilled and tapped to fit the 1's intake.

I think it is doable too. It would probably be a cheaper way to drop some CR and keep a stock bottom end living longer.

Agreed! I had never heard of CID before, but just googled them. Those heads look fantastic. I wish they gave you a little more info before asking you to drop $3300.00 on bare heads though...

like the cost of dating a supermodel... they do look great, does NOT say if it needs special headers, I don't see how they can get the flow without special headers due to the strange angle of the factory port?
