WOT in 2nd gear (A10 LT1 car) on the OE 245 all seasons will hold pretty damn good even in 40 degree days, full sun and some warm up miles on the tires. I do keep them at 26 PSI stone cold after sitting all night. When I romp on it the rear tire pressure will be at 28 or 29 PSI street warmed up pressure, that helps versus 35 PSI cold and 37 to 38 warmed.

Does that give you a warning light?

Unlikely. IIRC (she is in winter storage now) the tire pressure screen shows tires in a different color when under 30 psi, but the TPMS light never came on at 26-27 psi on my 2018 2SS.

i put 245s on my bolt on car and it will spin 3rd gear from 70 mph. 1st & 2nd gear are completely useless.

guess i need that base model traction mod.

W/O TC these cars would be almost impossible to drive.

I have only turned mine off once and it was like I was driving on an ice skating rink.

It was an impressive burnout though....

No, the threshold seems to be stay above 25PSI when car has been sitting dead cold on the coldest temp expected., I have been staying in the 26 to 27 PSIcold (sitting overnight) range and have not gotten any low tire pressure light. I have done this for years on my 2015 C7 and my 2019 C7, if the car sees 25PSI and below during a cold startup, eventually I would see a low tire light even though by that time tire pressure was up to 26 or 27 warmed up PSI. I have seen it once on the Camaro during my experimental settings. If I set the tire pressure on a 30 degree morning to say 26 PSI, and the next morning is 20 degrees, the Tire pressure could read 24 or 25 PSI and during that day I will get a low tire pressure light . The fronts I keep ten lbs higher, cold sitting over night, 36 to 37 PSI for less rolling resistance, quicker steering response and less tire wear on the outer edges the steering wheels do create especially if you corner more aggressive than the average driver. On a 1/4 mile pass, I will bump the fronts 45 to 50 PSI

And the all seasons are much, much better than the summer performance tires in below 50 degree temps.

I drive with traction control and esc off all the time on my m6 LT1 as long as it is sunny outside. The car can't 60 ft at all from a stop, but traction is suprisinngly decent with some finesse on the accelerator. Can't wait to try a sticky 245 compound tire out back when these factory goodyear all season runflats wear down.

Try a 255 35 20 Nitto nt05, its .7 inches less in diameter for a little gear advantage and is .5 inches wider with a 200 tread wear rating. Should be a grippy tire and can buy a PAIR brand new for $382. Thats what I have in mind.

The 245s are better than I thought they would be on an LT1. If I stay with factory wheels I think I'll go with square 255/40 20 Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ for a little extra width and a better tread compound but still an all-season tire. I've had good luck with those on other cars.

I got news for you pards, even with 305/20R30 GY SC tires you can still spin 1st easily and 2nd if they’re not warm.

Clearly a stickier compound is needed, a 245 mickey et street at minimum just to be able to use all of 1st. bone stock.
