Amber tail light blinkers Gen 6

Greetings, new to the forum. Just picked up a leftover ( new) 2017 2SS 6mt convertible. This is my second Camaro and I also had a Corvette C6. Thankfully, the Corvette C7 has amber tail lights, probably to appeal to the rest of the world. I was wondering if anybody knows if it is possible or how difficult it would be to get Amber blinkers on my 2017 Camaro.
Probably seems like a minor issue, however after years of driving European cars, it’s clear to me that Ambers are better.

Thanks.

In the EU we use those bulbs

I opened up my original red tails and, unlike the reverse lamp, the turn signal bulb doesn't seem easy to replace. Presumably the EU/AS taillamp is a different part altogether.

Sorry I forgot your reverse light is our blinker. You cannot change the blinker color.

Probably could do it with a set of the base LT tail lights.

Might be able to find someone willing to trade on the classifieds section

We have them in the European cars.. and it is not impossible to have the same effect with your American car, too.

You will have to buy these switchback bulbs and add to them a second resistors couple in order not to have problems with abnormal blinking or reverse errors:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/AMBER-WHITE.../173133122935/

Once you've added the second resistors couple to this kit, you will need to ask to your local workshop to move/add to your brand new bulbs a line coming from the blinker wire loom.. and it should work fine!

You would get something similar to this car (but you could ADD this to the existing USA red blinkers):

See you!!,

Thanks for all the comments. I noticed that the Euro Camaro has the center low backup light. similar to some Cadillacs here. That seems to be the key.

What I want to do is probably more trouble than it's worth-- American taillights are often "lazy" - the brake light is also the blinker.. a bad design but common in the US.

Aha, thanks

On a tangential note, I don't think I could get used to the turn signal not being in the outermost position in the rear. It feels so very weird.

Glad I'm not the only one tripped out by that.

I wouldn't mind picking up that center reverse light though.

If the white light in the center at he bottom is the rear fog light, where is the back-up light?

I've not lived in Europe lately but have visited frequently; seems to me the rear fog is on the left side (replacing the backup light on that side) or on both sides of the car.

On European Camaros, the lower LED row in the center at the bottom is BOTH a fog light AND a backup light, too: center LEDs act as a red foglight, the outer LEDs act as a white reverse light. Mistery explained!

See you!!,
