Looks like I will be going with a smooth idle cam after all.
I thought I had decided on rough idle if I could get by without headers and keeping my cats. I was hopeful since Laynlo is running over 700rwhp with stock exhaust.

You have to look at it this way, the factory exhaust was optimized for a Naturally aspirated engine.
Add a supercharger and add 60-70% more air in to the engine, then the pressure in the exhaust system starts to rise. This back pressure and heat backs up into the combustion chamber causing unwanted knock and restriction that limits power. It is a fact that the more air you can get into and out of an engine the more fuel you can burn and the more power you can make. There will always be Hurdles in making more power, The simplest to solve is improving Air flow in and out. Ted.

One thing I didn't see was adding a 170* thermostat and adjusting the fans. Brought my street temps down about 20*.

Back to exhaust I have my secondary cats cut out and the CA Performance test pipes going to the stock NPP muffler to quiet it down, I believe that dropped my boost by about 1psi when I got it tuned. I'm at 600whp, when I want more power one day I will definitely buy headers.
