I just installed mine and tried the get the correct info from Elite for a week. Basically it’s an “every man for himself” install. My PCV came without the modified barbed end. I didn’t have the correct bracket to mount to anywhere, I didn’t have enough “T” fittings to splice into the brake booster and intake tubing. Overall, the entire experience sucked with elite. Oh and I also snapped a SC bolt in the process so I’ve got that going for me

I’m not surprised to hear this. Over the winter myself and 2 or 3 other guys on the forum went back and forth with Elite about the mounting bracket for what seemed like a month.
Throughout that process they were responsive but it was tough to get them to respond.

Supposedly they sent me an email yesterday about getting the improved PCV valve but that email never reached my inbox.

Leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I should have thought twice before buying this thing back in December.

I attached my can to the my Rotofab CAI housing just using the supplies can holder and it looks the cleanest of all. Then I angle cut the PCV barbed fitting and it wasn’t that bad. Screwing the thing in took some creativity. I had to borrow a 14mm Alan head to remove the old PCV. I then had to buy more hose because what they send is not nearly enough...and another 3/8 “T”. I’ve got the broken SC bolt to deal with...but I bolted it up and ran the car to see if I could notice a difference with the broken bolt. No difference yet but gonna tear the SC off of it to repair once I receive the correct procedure. Those things snap like twigs.

Put up a pic of how you mounted that thing to the CAI housing. Im interested to see what you came up with.

I hope they sent me enough rubber hose for my install. At this point I can’t wait to install this stupid thing and move on with my life.
I’m forced to do the Install in my driveway and the Weather here in NJ is not cooperating!

FML !

Will do shortly. All I gotta say is be careful going back with the SC to head bolts. I had a weak bolt and snapped it in the head. Now I have to remove the SC completely to extract the bolt. 89 in/lbs is not a lot at all.

Didn't the bottom of the catch csn hit on the ac line? I looked at that spot didn't like it there. I didn't want to have to take the can off to drain it. I think the best place is either front driver's side or back by the strut tower. Depnds on which bracket you get.

Also I did get ahold of elite aftet several emails. They are sending me more hose and another bracket. They did ok for me. I hear ya on instructions. Best bet is to watch YouTube

I mounted it high enough that it doesn’t hit. I ran my bracket higher than most but I put the can in the supplied holder, lowered the hood and latched it, lifted the hood and lowered can another 1/4”, and tightened. It’s about 1-1/2” from the ac line. It’s gonna be a bitch to drain but I’m gonna run a drain hose attached to the valve to the bottom of the car. I’ll drain it to the ground.

I think I’m gonna see what Mighty Mouse has to offer. Any reason not to go with him?

Alain,
There is another guy on the forum who is supposedly making some mounting brackets, just waiting for him to complete and contact me, will keep you in the loop if he completes the task!

Bill
