I have always hand tightened on and they come off by hand. Unless someone else put it on and cranked it to hell and gone.

This is the one that fits the oem pf64 filter. I also bought one to make sure I'd be able to remove the existing one the first time I did the service myself

I got lucky and even after my free change I was able to get it off by hand. I have fought with them before.
