I saw a Camaro in this color today and was not as impressed as I thought I would. It too light/bright pastel versus Hyper blue which is more metallic and tropical.

The c8 looks better but still leaning toward Hyper/Riverside/Elkhart Lake

I'm generally a fan of Blue cars. I've had several before my 22. For me it came down to which Blue available for 22 I felt looked the best in 1LE trim. Rapid Blue did it for me. It is bright, but in 1LE trim the contrast in colors tones it down some. And the contrasting colors really enhance the 1LE features. I'm not sure I would like Rapid Blue as much if I had a non 1LE SS or an LT1.

The satin black parts on a Riverside Blue 1LE, at least to me, don't standout as much. They almost get lost.

Got a chance to see Vivid Orange & Rapid Blue together... these two colors would've been a hard decision for me to choose from. I made my decision and I have to live with it LOL

These were my two color choices when I placed my second order, the first never having been picked up. I ended up choosing Rapid Blue, but Vivid Orange was a close second. If it had been the Crush orange color that had previously been available, I might have made a different choice.

There was a orange crush SS right behind me too, I got a chance to get a pic of that too.. It's still a hard decision for me to choose from with all 3 being close by. Anything very bright like Rapid Blue, Orange Crush, Yellow looks more better in 1LE form.

I completely agree with you. The color is meh all by itself but looks great with the 1LE package. I just ordered my ACS package on Saturday!

Still have never seen it in person though, so there's always that little seed of doubt whether or not I made the right choice. Fingers crossed I've love it as much when I finally see it in person.
I wanted a midnight blue car when I went to order but that color was not an option. I saw a Corvette at a car show that was Rapid Blue a month before I ordered and it was a no brainer to go with the Rapid Blue as my second choice. I love the look with the 1LE package. Looks great!!

Thanks Mike. I know we have similar tastes.

I think you are going to like the ACS stuff. The side skirts are nice, but installing all those rivets is a bear. Several clamps are nice to have to help hold the side skirts in place while you drill and rivet. You don't want those moving around during the installation process and the clamps help you get the side skirts on snug.
