I have a Bluetooth obdII adapter that I paid 12 bucks for, can you tell me what data log software to use.I currently use torque, but that doesn't show all the info I believe.

I just ordered a obd2 blue tooth adapter off amazon, I was planning using Torque Pro or DashCommand for the App. I thought either would work but not sure since I have not used them yet.

I'm guessing you need real tuning software and not an iPhone app. Going to have to pony up if you want useful logs.

Don't skimp on the tools if you want to get things dialed in correctly. Scan rate is just as important as the available PIDs. The generic scanners just can't deliver acceptable data.

Torque Pro is pretty good, but it takes a while to learn how to use it effectively. It has a lot of features I haven't explored yet, including track performance logging, hp calcs, trip monitoring, and a lot others. It does seem to be limited a little on what PIDs it can log, but nothing affecting what I'm watching.
I also use the SCT X4 handheld that came with the E-Force that can be pre-programmed with whatever PIDs you want to capture. This system works out better in that it downloads after the fact into the Livelink app for data analysis. You can also use it attached to your laptop to capture real time data into your computer, but who wants a laptop sliding around in the passenger seat. |
