Suspension bolts one time use.

I installed bmr trailing arms and upper control arms, and after reading the 1le manual I notice the bolts say one time use when reinstalling. I will go purchase new bolts if necessary but didn't see anything about needing to do so during bar's suspension. My local dealer has each bolt for 4 bucks.

Apparently, they are TTY (torque to yield) bolts.

I replaced mine when I had the track alignment done.

Many people think this is an unnecessary step. I am keeping mine 100% stock as I track and want to ensure Chevy would have no cause to deny any claim.

I mentioned this previously in another thread. BMR opinion was they never had issues with tne 'one time' use...being used more than once.

I had the same concerns. But when I had my car at the dealer for the performance alignment. They knew I installed the lowering springs and corrected my clunk in the back. (Loose shock bolt) They had no issue about the bolts.
Dealer would be charging everyone for new bolts everytime they worked on a car.

I'm mainly curious about all of the torque specs... Are those documented anywhere? (Since a shop manual isn't available)

Yes its in the 1le suspension install guide. BMR wants all bolts torqued to 81 ft lbs.

Are we sure they are TTY Vs TTA ? Also realize that GM often recommends changing out bolts simply because they have locktite on them... like we can't reapply locktite

Post number 1 in this thread has all the torque values in the attachments for the 1le suspensions. If I read it right, chevy calls for 74 ft lbs and bmr calls for 81 ft lbs.
