Does your 1ss show the road speed limit in the dic display?

Im wondering if my car needs an update as my cruise does not work either. I dont see why 2ss cars would only show the posted speed limit with the same software as a 2ss car. Im taking my car in for the cruise control issue next saturday.

Speed limit only shows in the DIC if you have sat nav

Yeah Nav is needed, mine doesn't show because I do not have Nav.

need the nav...that is how it knows where it is ....knowing that it looks to it's DBASE...even the most basic store bought have this feature now ...

The point is some systems do it without nav......

I know the manual says that it's the navigation database but personally I don't believe that. the GM manuals are riddled with inconsistencies across the board that I've seen primarily in the Corvette manuals. And any mylink info is cut and pasted from other manuals. More GM cost cutting. So I'm still waiting for somebody explain this to me , if you don't have Nav, how you get it.

I still think the XM satellites have something to do with it. But that's just a guess, i'll tell you soon as my XM expires in a couple weeks…

My 2 SS does not show the speed limit in the DIC nor the HUD. Only thing regarding speed I can see in the HUD is my actual speed I am driving, same wit the DIC.

Maybe it has something to do with on star or 4g settings?

It is the XM. My wife's Q60S showed the speed limits until her XM trial ended.

That has always been my suspicion...my memory is going, but I think on the vette, I lost it when Xm expired.....thanks for the confirm.
