well sort of. usually cars in one company will show some commonality during different era's. Same could be said about 4thgen Camaros and 5thgen Corvette's.

Neither move would surprise me.
I would think GM wouldn't want to be producing two different lines of engines. More economical to move all V8s to the same model.

I agree but the LS1 went into the Corvette in 1997 (the year it went from C4 to C5) and the Camaro in 1998 (that was the Gen 4 refresh). The C7 is a 2014 model and I have heard that the Gen 6 is supposed to be a 2015. Also keep in mind that the Gen IV engines will still be produced as crate motors for a good while.

The spy pictures so far have me drooling. (I don't put much stock into the "artist renderings")....shorter overall, longer wheel-base, and entirely redone C-pillar/hatch and the exhaust tips are HUGE...

And then there's the interior...it's long been a complaint, so you can be SURE they're working on it...just looking at the seats, wheel, and a glimpse of the dash has me thinking Audi-meets-Lamborghini!

I linked to images that may have been blocked out...uploaded them instead.

What those pictures don't show is a quarter window behind the door windows...that's one tell-tale that the design is going to be very different from the C6.

Not officially, I think. But generally-speaking...shorter length, wider wheelbase.
