What options are on this vehicle? Automatic?

How did you get the price so low?

Thanks!

Its in excellent mechanical condition (OK I WENT 7k over the oil change twice) and has had all its routine maintenance done at the dealership. Its an almost 5 year old car so it has its fair share of bumps and bruises that can be easily repaired. My problem is I don't know whether or not I want to sell the car PP or trade it at the dealer for the LT1. Its been a good run with my 14' but it's time for it to get away from me. This is the LT1 im about 2 seconds from buying before someone else can. What do you guys think I should do about my 14 though? I know the dealer is going to give me less than PP but then again I don't want to have the car up for sale for 6 months because no one will buy it....Help

Sale Price for the LT1:
$27,985
All it needs are aftermarket rims and some ground effects to really pop.

Keep in mind that the biggest rebate is the Conquest rebate. If you own a competitor passenger vehicle (probably not a truck) and have valid registration you can get that, otherwise no. GM Card, if you have a GM card, your rebate is actually the difference between the cash you have available and 1000.

So your sale price w/o those is just under $31,000. Then look at the fine print, it states that the internet price doesn't include dealer added accessories. This can be anti-theft (Lo-Jack or Theft Patrol or Vin Etch), wheel locks, window tint, nitrogen, appearance protection. Around here, these addendums avg anywhere from 1,900 to 4,000. Judging from the dealer discount amount, I would think theirs might be somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000.

Not know particulars of your car, NADA is showing avg trade in for the dealers zip code, for a 2014 1LT with 60K miles at somewhere around $11,000-$12,000. If you owe more than that, the remainder will roll into your new loan. So if you break even, and your credit is good, your looking at around $600/mo to $700/mo with no cash down at 72 mo. Many unknown factors, but that's the ball park you're playing in.

Thanks everyone for the advice (and the 100% go for it). Do you guys think I'll be docked a bunch because of this dent in the fender?

bought my 5th gen as a year old CPO car.im pretty sure my garage is the nicest place its ever been, but you will make more on a PP sale.can you put a deposit on the car you want and take a couple of weeks to sell yours? have you thought about PDR and minor touch up,i bet that dent could go unnoticed.

Exactly. 90% of the time, the price on a dealer's website is the BS price. I call them and ask what the real price is or what rebates are involved and always call/ask what dealer installed BS is on the car. If they say it's $1K paint protection that can't be removed, I move on to another dealer.

When I bought my Camaro back in March they advertised the price with the "conquest" BS. I owned a Chevy Cruze, an Aveo before that, and an S10 before that. I simply told the dealership that I get that discount or I head over to the Ford dealership...and maybe i'll see them in 4-5 years when I'm ready for my next car. Turns out, they got me that discount.

Well then they gave you an extra $2K off dealer discounted. Most dealers won't do that (at least not in CA) unless the dealer discount is slim to begin with. I was at $34,995 for my SS before the Conquest rebate. If I didn't already have my Mustang GT/registration, they would not have given me an extra $2K on top of that. They would have let me walk.

This. Trade it and don't bother dealing with the public. It's a hassle, and the type of car this will attract is going to be a lot of people who don't have the funds on hand, no offense. I sold my '13 F150 before trading it for my '18 Sierra and I had so many tire kickers it wasn't even funny. My friend's dad the day before I went to trade called and said he'd buy it from me. And that took an extra 3-4 days.

I think in the end I got about $1400 more than what I would've gotten in trade, but the hassle almost wasn't worth it. When I traded for my Fifty, I didn't even put my truck on the market. I called the dealers, told them what I had, and made a deal over the phone before I even drove to the lot.

You'll have to pay the whole sales tax on the LT1 if you sell yours and buy it as opposed to just paying the taxes on the difference, and depending on what your state is, that could be a big chunk of money at $35k vs $15-20K.

OP's car should DEFINITELY be worth more than $6K. He said he could get it for $28K which is a freakin' steal for an LT1.

I'm thinking he should at least get 10K since it's a 2014.
