Try pulling the fuse to make it louder.

It's not about how loud it is. The car is transformed when you pick up the speed in the turns. It turns into something else, something amazing. When I'm just crawling around, it doesn't feel special at all.

My Focus ST was pretty fun at any speed as it felt pretty light and darty. The SS feels like a cruiser kinda when “cruisin’”, lol.

Would still take the SS though. Although not enjoying my $4.35 fill up. Luckily not my daily driver.

KTM 1290 Superduke. A great street bike. Never had any boring rides.

I got to where you are in my Mustang.

Once I was done doing my mods, it was done and I'm ready for the next project.
It's why I'm here. Camaro or C8 will be my next project.
My problem is I can't afford to continue buying and selling. I wish I could open a shop to keep wrenching.

I think this is a good problem to have at worst, and the experience of owning the perfect Jekyll & Hyde car at best. All things considered, I'd never want to go back to a lesser vehicle now to fufill any of the purposes I have the Camaro for.

You’re driving it in auto right? Not manumatic mode.

I drove, occasionally when I was a kid, a 95 Sentra stickfor a while to deliver pizza, a completely stripped down, bare bones model. One speaker radio, manual windows. Weighed like 2600 pounds, tires the size of a Krispy Kreme. Car was hilariously fun to drive. It really made me a true believer of "more fun to drive a slow car fast".

I have friends in the medical field, they call bike riders, organ donors.

The thrill is amazing I am sure, but my experience around people who have had them is, It's not if, but when.

OP states he has a 1SS manual.

With that said I'm not sure any car can be 100% fun to drive all the time. I've never had that even though I've owned 25-30 cars through the years.

My last two Camaros are the closest to "all fun all the time". The 2010 6 MT was a cam/bolt-on car that was lowered and had cutouts. It was a hoot most of the time but was a pain sometimes too.

My current 2016 1SS 6MT is even better even though I'm down about 75 rwhp to the 2010. The car is just put together so well - so balanced. I don't have enough on ramps in my life!

I recently read a test of a TRD Edition of the Toyota 86 with better suspension and bigger tires. They said it sucked all the fun out of the car because it doesn't slide around anymore.

I had a 63 Impala with a 540hp solid roller cam 383 that ran 11.8s@118
Had a TH350 with a 4K converter and 4.56 gears.
3” exhaust. It was always fun to drive that beast !
And had a kick ass stereo if I ever got tired of listening to that motor.
Didn’t happen much.

And this is why I own a 2.0T, after previously owning an SS 1LE.
The fun part about driving is pushing your car to its limits. If you can't ever get there, it's ultimately frustrating.
Truth be told, even my 2.0T cannot reach its limits on the street. I mean hell, winding it out in 3rd gear puts you into ticket territory very easily.
Even the lowly stock 4 banger begs to be taken to the track. That's how amazing a machine it is.
So I'd say just try to appreciate it as often as you can, and maybe even consider trading for an LTG M6. Sounds crazy but I did it and do not regret it for one second.
