2019 Subwoofer Install Non Bose

Hey All

Just finished up a simple sub and amp install on my 1SS. I used the Sub Thump adapter for non Bose 2016+. I removed the foam tray and used its mounting studs to mount an amp plate that I made. I love the fact that this can be completely reversed without a trace.

Here’s a link to a video I made of the install: https://youtu.be/nUCe1_bCr1M

Quick follow up. When I start the car I get a couple of low frequency pulses then all is normal. Has anyone else noticed something like this When tapping into the non Bose output. It almost seems like the a noise canceling or phase calibration pulse?

Sorry... probably dumb question. With the aftermarket amp are you just powering the sub or also the speakers? How does it sound? Do you have a link to parts?

Yours didn’t come with a factory amp correct? Did you use a LC2i?

Hey guys,
I ran into a snag with the active noise cancellation causing feedback with the sub. I found that the Sub thump ACN bypass for the Bose works for the non Bose with the amp in the trunk. That combined with the Sub thump speaker break out harness made the install pretty simple.

I used a SCOSCHE LOC90 Line Output Converter to get the remote turn on and rca output to the amp.

I am still using the factory amp for the front and rear speakers. The adapter harness “T’s“ off the speaker output of the factory amp.

I made an update video on the install:

Updated pic, I changed out the amp as I returned the first one after encountering the feedback. Once I determined it was do to the ACN I picked up another amp.
