It's like getting a new toy every spring.

Yes, mine is now hibernating in the heated garage until spring. I still have summer tires on it. If there is a winter day with >40F temps and roads free of salt, I might take her for a spin.

I daily drive my ss1le. This is her first winter. I have to control the throttle when the road is wet even the temperature is around 10 degree C. There has been 2-3 snows in SW Ontario. I just drove slow (about average speed on the road) and carefully control the throttle and brake. It is definitely not fun for me to drive her when the road is wet, but it is doable. BTW, I put TOYO G3 ICE winter tires on her. These winter tires are far away from Michelin Xice I put on the other car.

I grew up driving RWD cars in the snow and loved every minute of it. Mind you, that was in a 100 hp Toyota Corona. But that was long before there was traction control or ABS. So RWD in the winter doesn't phase me.

However, winter really takes a beating on cars. You may not see it much in the first few years, particularly if you don't work on your own car. But it really takes its toll long term, and I plan on keeping my 1LE for a very long time.

Definitely wouldn't drive in the winter here. Gets down to 58 in the daytime and sometimes it's even partly cloudy!!!

Mines been off the road for a few weeks now. The day before the first salt/sand application on the roads, I rolled her up onto my Flatstoppers in my heated garage. Safe and sound until spring, sitting at 1900 miles on the odometer.

Yeah mine is asleep. Unfortunately she sits in a parking lot but doesn't move. I check on it from time to time to make sure nothing has hit it. And I let mother nature be my car cover. Just let the snow sit. Last years winter at the end of it, I walked up to it and literally just pushed the snow off in one big chunk.

I wish I had somewhere warm for it to sleep.

Central/Northern AB here. My cars sleep from October to mid-May. Just the way it is. Even when I was younger and the Camaro was my main car, I bought a $400 winter beater to keep the Camaro off the road salt.

Nice to have better options now (Sierra Denali and wife's SUV) but even those make me cringe to drive when the roads are covered in salt - will get another beater next winter, lol!

Have you thought of a car cover just to keep the dust of her while she sleeps

Thanks! Garage has a filtered dehumidifier in addition to heat, haven’t noticed any dust over the past month thankfully.
