Yep, the 315 R7 Hoosiers work great. See this thread for some details on both tire and wheel fitment.

www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=507167

Switched over to Pirelli DH slicks 305/690/19 at all four corners for my last event and they worked great also.

Like the Hoosiers performance....but not so much the $2k price for 20 heat cycles (4 track days). Have a set on my backup track wheels but may stick with the Pirellis from now on.

I WISH I got 4 track days out of the R7! I would be a richer man!

Just to update this, I've gone back to stock 3R's. I have two sets of fronts and one set of rears. I swap fronts every few sessions. This allows the rears to wear down at an equal rate to the fronts.

Hey Sean, What hot pressures are you finding work best for your 3R's?

I think Sean addressed it in another post (cant recall which) stating he now buys 2 sets of F for every set of R.
He is a super fast guy, so I suspect he landed on them as the best bet for his purpose. Cheers!

That does sound familiar

I'd say I drive the car pretty hard and I've corded both the stock Goodyears and a set of NT01s in 3500 miles and 6 track days. Pretty rough on the wallet, lol.

I'm now going to try the 18" + slick route with a set of new Continentals in 305/680/18 and 315/680/18. We'll see how that goes.

Hey guys. I know this is a late reply! I was reading some posts and enjoyed this one!

I run TTU in Nasa and I will cord both front tires in 2-4 days if I drive them all day. It doesn't matter if its R7's or 3R's. This includes switching from side to side and flipping them. Heat cycles really don't mean much in my world as we cord them faster. Product of driving the limits in a 3900 lb car.

However a great way to combat this is to run the R7's in the AM and run 3R's in the PM. By doing that I double the life of my tires. No reason to run my fast tires in the PM. Fastest laps are in the morning 90% of the time. The afternoon is for goofing off and taking out passengers or students.

Interesting . . . note-to-self worthy. Thanks.

I'm also most apt to end up with my fastest lap showing up in a morning session, usually #2. I can see other reasons one might choose to beat up on tires other than the fast ones in the afternoon as well.

According to this logic using 3 sets per day would TRIPLE the longevity?

On the R7s, 315/345 19” or what? How much in same temps do you see between those and the G3R? Thanks
