They do look very nice and sleek. On the rear. They aren't going to be large like a pick up truck. I am curious how much they protect. It is not gonna stop it all but it should help a considerate amount.

I did email Joe. I told him they look great. They fit great. Nice tight formed fit. The paint matches perfectly. Easy install.

I also told him “I thought they’d be bigger”. “A bit bigger would be nice”.

His response:

Great to hear... yes, bigger would be great, but would have looked like a truck guard. And it needed to match the front.

I think they will protect the rockers. They will protect some of the lower hip. They will not protect like the ZL1 ADDONS but they fit and install way better. I like them. I like the look. I like the fit. When doing burnouts for drag racing, the ZL1 ADDONS didn’t help much either. That rubber gets everywhere.

My opinion is they finish the looks of the car perfectly. I’m ecstatic about that! But bigger wouldve been nicer for functionality.

Let’s temember though, when we all signed up fir the fronts, we knew we were getting the ZL1 version of the SS flaps they already make. That’s what these are.

IMHO I am totally OK with the amount they stick out. I agree with ACS that any more and it would have looked like a trucks mud guards.
