I just had mine done. My guy did the crossover part of the H right where the old X used to cross over. He charged me a grand total of $70 and a 6-pack.

His comments:
1. The OEM X doesn't look like the X pipes he is accustomed to...it is so close together that the center crossover is almost more of a shared chamber.

2. Not a lot of room to do the crossover for the H...he ended up using a smaller diameter pipe to make it work/sound good. In order to avoid the leak issues another guy on here had, he had to complete the welds for the top part of the H-pipe with it off the car then did the bottoms with it on the car with a lot of overlap on both ends to ensure no leakage.

My current reaction is that it sounds like V8 audio sex pounding sweet love into your ear holes. I have a Borla S-Type NPP Axle Back and it really woke up the sound. Now I would say it is about 20% louder and much more rumble. Volume I would say it is at the ATAK level but with a much more low-frequency rumble than the ATAK (which sounds peaky to me).

I will do a video this weekend.

The H made a world of a difference.

LOL does it still scream at high rpms...It screams far louder then the friggen X we had! If you want to beat somebody at a dig right away? DO AN H lol...When I did the H my car lifted....That's how much torque this monster made!
You and the OP were the trendsetters. I showed my guy your's and everyone else's that posted their's. So you all are probably why my guy iterated the way he did.

Yeah it still screams at high RPM.

This is one of those mods that I am now recommending as a go-to for anyone with these cars.

Looks great bpang! What diameter pipe is the H itself and how long/diameter is the crossover part between the two pipes? Do you notice any increase/decrease in low end torque?
Thanks!

2.75" for the mains and 2.5" for the crossover.

Any issues on an automatic car and swapping to an H pipe? Didn't know about the afm junk in the exhaust being affected.

None...mine is an auto as well.

I think my main issue is it is harder to rev like a dumbass at a stoplight being an auto.
