From GTR to ZL1 1LE
Hi everyone,
Starting this thread to document my build as it progresses. I recently traded in a track-prepped 2012 Nissan GTR for my 2019 ZL1 1LE in Shadow Grey Metallic. A short mod list on the GTR:
While the car was an absolute blast to drive, I was getting bored of it and it simply isn't the hardcore track car I was trying to make it. I test drove a couple ZLEs and, to make a long story short, it checked all the boxes and then some. Plans for the ZLE are fairly simple (although, at one point I said I was going to leave my GTR completely stock, so take this with a grain of salt):
Glad to be a member of this forum, tons of great information and I can't wait to contribute! |

Congrats! You won't get bored learning how to become a better driver to get the maximum out of the 1LE.
Was that a wrap on the GT-R? Looks great. Is that approximately what you'll pick for the Camaro?

The wrap on the GTR is a film by 3M called Deep Space. I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to put on the Camaro just yet. I thought about doing something similar but I'm just not sure it'd compliment the Camaro's lines like it did on the GTR. |

Looking forward to watching your journal progress.
I am another Nissan to Camaro migrant. In my case I had a 370z that I put enough mods in that the cost would have put me in GTR territory. Also drove a few GTRs as well when I was considering the trade up. I thought both Nissans were great vehicles but was really surprised by areas of refinement in the Camaros. For example it handles much better than I expected. etc As Ryphelle mentioned, I think we both made good choices in getting cars that will allow us to improve as drivers. |

Nice! I hope you don’t wrap the car as shadow grey is a pretty color!

Nice ride. Just a heads up Corsa does not retain the NPP valves but AFE does. We have a ton of options when you're ready though.
