Not where I live when I go to Heartland in Topeka to watch the drag races the two going up against eachother seems to be a drivers race. They are pretty even cars. When I watch them on a track course the Camaros seem to beat the Mustangs but this is where the Camaro has proven superior anyway. There are special packages like the Bulitt with 480 hp and the upcoming Mach 1 but I don't see many bulitts around here and haven't seen one against a new SS on the strip or on the track. EDIT: The Challenger is a really heavy car compared to the Camaro and the 485 hp advertised doesn't really make up for the weight when compared to a stang or Camaro.

If I was going to upgrade (which I'm not)... since there is no more HyperBlue, this is actually a look I like. I'd have to consider it for sure.

he standard $2640 Wild Cherry Design package includes 10-spoke, 20-inch wheels with a Camaro shield center cap, a Camaro badge on the fender, special floor mats, black hash marks on the hood, and—of course—the Wild Cherry exterior color.

Upping the ante to the top-level $6090 design package 2 adds a body kit, a fuel door with carbon fiber trim, black suede interior trim, and the choice of either a black or silver center stripe. That fully kitted Camaro is pictured here.
$1400 for a body kit, different interior, center stripe and carbon fiber fuel door.

And look at how much better Challenger and Mustang sales have been than the Camaro’s the past few years, because their manufacturers continue to come up with substantive changes and new model variations every year. I’d order a new Camaro before the end in 2023, if there was anything new and different and interesting available.

Yeah man if only they would add the performance parts from the ZL1 to the SS and have that be a special option package. I wonder what they might call it, like... 2LE? 1LZ? Hopefully it happens soon!@

I think anything would help more than just appearance packages given where the car is in its life cycle

Get the 1LE, then you'll have very little competition (unless you're only into going straight).

Having owned a 2019 Mustang GT base version and now a Camaro 1SS, the SS is without question the more buttoned down precision instrument. The interior features are better as well. No contest.

After having owned a ‘16 Shelby GT350 before dumping it and buying my ‘18 1SS 1LE, I absolutely agree with you. In fact, I’m ready to order my last new Camaro now (in plenty of time before the 2023 shutdown), if Chevrolet would just give me something new and different - beyond paint color and tape stripes.

Unless you're new to the scene, this is par for the course. I've said it before and I'll say it again; unless GM has a change of strategy, the 6th generation Camaro will not see any power increases throughout it's lifespan. It has been this way for the Camaro for a long time. Whatever power they're introduced at, is highly likely the power they'll make until the end of that generation.

You can expect that there's going to be new appearance packages, just as you see here. Perhaps a couple of small performance variants with respect to a few small suspension, wheel, tire or aero bits but, likely no new models.
