I have 25,000 miles on my Michelin PS4's with one HPDE event at Roebling Road Raceway. I don't there's another tire that compares unless you go with something that's just more track oriented, but then you lose tons of miles.

Thank you, Sir! That's a great number of miles!

With that many street miles expected have you considered a cheap set of track wheels and tires? Some used factory OEM wheels with sticky 100tw tires, and a harder and cheaper daily wheel and tire setup that could last u 30k miles on the street. seems like a waste of good rubber to drive good track tires on the street.

Try the continental extreme contact sports. DOUBLE the tread life but you will saceifice some grip over the other 2 but cost wise its dead center between those two choices.
13,500 on OEM tires. No track. Spirited, city and HWY between here and Coronado island. I'd say tires were 50% but I've not measured tread.

Thanks for the feedback!

So, I guess I won't get 60k, 45k, 30k, or probably even 15k miles on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires. What I'm going to do is start out with the first set of 20x10 and 20x11 rims with the Goodyears for daily use.

Then, I'll purchase a second set of the rims and purchase some Eagle F1 Supercar 3R's for track days. The UTQG rating of 100 A A should make for good track grip. I don't want to have an enthusiast car with tires that are mundane, so if I burn up the Goodyears in a year, oh well.

In reality I switch off driving with my truck, so I may only put 8k on the Camaro in a year.

Check out the Yokohama Advan Apex for a DD, I put them on my 1LE sized wheels. They are doing very well rain or shine and at a better price point for sure over the Michelins...

I did Cup 2's for my new wheels. Car sees 3-4K miles a year and never in the rain. The PS4S is better for a daily driver deal I think.

Why not just run a PS4S on your current wheels and 3R’s on a track dedicated set? No need to buy two sets of wheels and the PS4S is a MUCH better daily tire than the F1’s.

I currently run the Conti on a daily wheel and F1’s on a dedicated set for track days. I ran the PS4S prior to the Conti and it’s a better street tire. Wish I would have stuck with it.

How do you like your Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires? With a UTQG of 180 they must be adhesive around town. They are expensive tires.

The reason why I'm going with the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 is that they are UTQG 220 which meets the minimum requirement of 200 for some track day events.

For more serious events like at Texas World Speedway I'll use the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R's which have a UTQG of 100.

Unfortunately Toyo R888R are slightly smaller than the Goodyear's even though they have a UTQG of 100. I don't want to trial and error a 315/30ZR20 size.

I had the old generation of Toyo R888's on my GTO and they were great!

We'll see how it all turns out a year from now. Thanks for the feedback!
