Is the car a 1SS or 2SS? Wondering how much of a difference the heating elements add..... in the seats

as far as I can take it lol it’s still a daily street car so some stuff has to stay like airbags and such per state inspection but interior is gutted,2pc racing brakes, lightweight steering wheel etc looking at maybe cutting the trunk well out and removing crash bars as well.

A/C system removal will help you also. I pulled my A/C system out 3 years ago. I can not remember what it all totaled up to for pounds since its been so long. One thing you have to add or subtract is parts needed to go on for upgrades like exhaust, suspension etc., crash bars removed or swapped with light weight ones help to.

Rotation weight reduction is where you will gain the most as you do reduce weight. New clutch and flywheel saves about 30-38 lbs if you do aluminum flywheel. Drive shaft change to aluminum and light weight race wheels and rotors are huge changes too.

My car is currently at 3598 with my 17" drag pack race star wheels on. Little higher when i swap back to the stock 20's.

I am still on OEM drive shaft, have rear OEM crash bar on and have my Recaro's in. Planning to attack these 3 items next after i put FI on the car first. Should definitely get my car into 3300 ish at that point and still have stock glass in and usual typical OEM style battery. I been trying not to go in any specific direction with the car so i can still street, drag and auto/ road course the car. Nice thing is it only takes a quick wheel swap and alignment to switch from the drag set up to say auto X or road course.

Nice! I don't plan on streeting mine anymore. Did you remove the heater core/evaporator - all that crap under the dash? Also did you remove MyLink and the OnStar module? Any issues with car starting/running etc..?

Nvm, just found some OnStar BS.. Ugh to many electronics passing through each other these days. Can't get rid of anything like the old days.

Removing complete a/c system as well as heater core assembly. Also all windows hopefully by next weekend. Doors will be removed and weighed beginning of April, the CF doors will arrive by then.
