Anyone running their ZL1 with A10 at HPDE events? Hows the tranny temps and fluids? is the A10 strong to handle 20-30 mins of track time?

Manuals are better. Getting good at driving a manual transmission is part of learning to be a man. Kind of like getting in a few fights when you're a kid isn't such a bad thing. It helps build character and teaches you not to be a P word. It's pretty pathetic when people claim they can't drive a manual transmission car. My Mom can drive the heck out of one, and here you're a dude, and you're scared of a manual car.

Sure if you've already got good manual transmission driving skills and are trying to maximize an E.T. or you can't drive as well as Randy Pobst then buy a modern auto car. If you like to drive your performance car of the road and aren't constantly in stop and go traffic get the M6. The no-lift shift feature on the GEN6 M6 cars is excellent BTW.

Keep it pinned at WOT and shift without lifting off the gas.

When certain criteria are met, you can shift using only the clutch, with the accelerator floored all throughout the shift. The computer will keep the engine in the optimal rpm range during the process, you won't bounce off the limiter.

See https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=513327 for more details from the Camaro chief engineer.

On the ZLE A10, the tranny manages temperatures easily for 30 minutes.

So I drove a 2017 ZL1 1LE and a 2019 ZL1 A10.
I must say i was impressed with the A10 and using the paddle shifters. I also did the down shift trick with the gas peddle .
It was a cold night and i couldn't get the m6 to keep the tires on the road, so much power.
The A10 did a better job since I didn't have to rev it up.
They didn't let me drive them very far, but I must say again, I was impressed with the A10. I could suffer through it if I bought one at the right price.
So That will probably determine which one I get.
I think I definitely want a 2019 now since they put the full time camera in the rear view mirror like my Traverse has. The new tail lights are growing on me.
All that being said, here is a dumb question. Do All the A10's have paddle shifters? i seen a category for automanuel, I am sure itis t he same thing. just curious if an A10 didn't have paddle's.

Yes all A10s have paddle shifters and also the A8s in the SSs have them too. Also, a 2017 ZL1 1LE doesn’t exist as 2018 was the first year for the ZL1 1LE!
