Driving school W/ ZL1 purchase like Z06?

Has anyone heard any indication that Chevrolet will provide driving school (Ron Fellows Spring Mountain) with a purchase of a ZL1?

Common logic/wisdom would assume that if it is important enough for the LT4 powered Z06 why not the LT4 powered ZL1. I realize that Spring Mountain does not have a driving school for Camaros. But teaching drivers how to handle the power would be great PR.

I spoke with Al O and a few others about this when the 2012 ZL1's were introduced. He basically said that they would look into it. So far not much has happened. C7 Corvette classes at Spring Mountain are full. I attended one last year and it was great. Wonderful instructors, great accommodations and I learned a lot. I spoke with Ron Fellows recently and asked if he could accommodate a Camaro School in addition to the Corvette School and he said that he could. I think it is a good idea. It is just a matter of convincing Chevy that it is a good idea as well.

Ron Fellows was there when I went in 2011. He was testing a Camaro on the track at the time.

Obviously Spring Mountain is oriented for Corvettes. I assume Chevrolet made them their official driving school after they were already in business. It might take an extra effort to get a Camaro driving school going there. It would be great, I like Spring Mountain, and might take the Z06 course anyway.

Their instructor cars are 5th Gen 1LE's that the students in Corvettes follow. It would not be a big stretch to offer Camaros (1LE's and ZL1's) as student cars as well.

It would be awesome to see Chevy offer classroom and practical track instruction for the rest of their performance line ZL1 and all Camaro 1LE LPO's). Cadillac offers it for their V series cars (ATS, CTS). Does Chevy offer it for Grand Sport and Z51?
My youngest son purchased a Focus ST last year and was offered and accepted 2 days of classroom and track time/instruction, all on Ford Performance's dime. He only had to pick up the cost of hotel and airfare. Evidently, Ford includes this type of instruction this on their entire performance line, (GT, GT350, GT350R, Focus RS, Focus ST and Raptor).

Where do we sign up?

I highly recommend the Ron Fellows school at Spring Mountain in Pahrump. I've been to 3 classes there and it has been an amazing experience every time.

I go back again if they added a ZL1 school.

Great idea. They could easily comp the program fees. They would then get repeat attendees as you climb through the levels. Did the Porsche driving programme level 1 advanced at Barber Motorsports in Alabama and it was awesome.

The Ron Fellows school has lots of Camaros to drive, I think GM has not made a deal to bring the price down, love to see it.

Are you planning on the ZL1 being your first car? If so, hats off. That is freaking awesome.

It's been on my list of things to do for a long time. Never really been able to put the money together to get it done.
