ME!!!! Andrea Carothers built mine as well. Haven't seen anyone else mention her name before. Latrice, (her sister?) seems to have gotten more mentions.

Assuming you are referring to mine, thank you very much. I'm quite pleased.

I would be more interested to know if the people who talk about oil loss have the line built or custom-built motors. Would be interesting to see if there is any correlation.

The PBC plaque seems to be on LT1 and LT4 powered cars with manual transmissions built after Jan 2020. I don't think any autos have been confirmed with a PBC plaque. I don't think we know if it is on ALL manual cars though. Also still a mystery why they are doing this.

It was said before that it was thought to be some leftover C7 Stingray LT1s that were built but we seem to have gone way beyond that now with fresh new builds. I wonder if trans and engine are shipped to Lansing as a unit, if so maybe the manual trans going through Bowling Green means the engine is assembled there too. Who knows, but it is very cool!

I believe for LT1s it's only been manuals, but there are definitely PBC LT4s with both manuals and autos. My '21 ZL1 A10 has one and there are more in the PBC thread in the ZL1 section.

My impression was that GM was doing this to keep the PBC operation and staff going during the gap between the C7 and C8 Z06s.

It would be interesting to know (& see on video) how much each of these awesome GM employees do in order to build these engine(s). That would be epic for collectibility and nostalgia. Hint hint GM…

This 43-minute 6th gen "behind the scenes" video from the BBC is the closest I have seen. Download and enjoy.
