Actually one of the things I like about my RAM is starting it up from my lab and walking out to a cool vehicle in the summer or warm vehicle in the winter. With Smartass phone start.

But I would still rather the RAM be a manual!

But I suppose it will be electric soon either way

Right idea but the brake lights would stay on till you either started the car or the battery died.

The signal switch tells the ECM the pedal is pressed then the ECM enables the engine start sequence to be completed and sends 5v to the relay to 12v to turn on the brake lights.

I’d go for a 2018 low mileage Ram 2500 Cummins 6 speed if I needed/wanted a pickup.

Or a 2007 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra HD2500 8.1 liter gas with the 6 speed.

Anyone else?

It’s all good.

I can row my own quite adequately, thank you, but man this 10spd is smooth as silk.

A twin longitudinal 5.3L, V16, quad turbo, non transmission would be even smoother, & cooler.

I don’t jest.

Oh I wouldn’t either - it’s just that they’re the last ones you can row your own gears with and that’s the only reason I’d buy them

My 2005 Silverado 1500 regular cab is a 4.8 liter 5 speed manual combo! It was the last year for the V8 5 speed in the Silverado. The 2006 Classic had a V6 with a 5 speed. I’m keeping mine.

If I'm not mistaken, that setting is to control the max speed that the fan will run in Auto mode. My climate control is always on Auto and the fan generally never spins up to full high because it doesn't need to.

Unless you live in AZ and have the temp set to "Min", it shouldn't run at full blast like that.

OP - Have you ever just left it alone for a few minutes to see if it starts ticking down once the temp starts normalizing (assuming you're using Auto mode)?

That thing needs a turbo!

The manual was offered until 2007 in the HD2500 series classic - if I find one with the 8100 and 6 speed combo in good shape that hasn't been roached out for a decent price I may get it just to get one. The last true big-block production V8 GM made.

Yes, for a few minutes. The question is was it long enough?
