Kooks Green Cats question

I'm looking at a bolt on ported blower build, no meth, no cam, no e85, with kooks headers, 2.30 pulley, and new heat exchanger with larger coolant tank at around 650/700 who, how well will the green cats hold up to that power and to being daily driven? I need reliability more than anything else.

Fine. I would be concerned when you go over 800rwhp

If you are going to run cats, those are the ones to have. At your power level they will be fine.

They will hold up just fine. My car makes more power than that with Kooks 2" headers and green cats and its a daily driver.

If you need reliability more than anything else, I don’t understand why you want to mod the car? Keeping the car stock gives you the most reliable vehicle plus keeps your power train warranty intact.

Green cats will be fine with your proposed mods. In fact, you would most likely be ok with the standard Kooks cats. I've been running the "high flow" cats for 10k miles with the mods in my signature. I do run e60 almost exclusively which helps keep things cool. I read that std cats are good for 1500 F, greens 2300.

Kooks cats should have no problems.

are you speaking about the - Green Cats? or Kooks Cats?

What would classify as road racing? Time? Track days? Speeds?

There's no reason to believe the green cats will not hold up if the car is tuned correctly, I believe each cat is rated to 400hp per cat so its really only above 800hp that they might start to become restrictive. That being said, I ran stock cats on my 1000hp Hellcat for almost 2 years without any issues and those were stock. The Kooks Green cats are made by GESI and are the best available, they are not cheap and they are very durable.

Another way of saying "I want more power conservatively as necessary".

Yup and yup! Basically bolt on power, good horsepower without affecting drivability, with more cooling and can road trip the car cross country.
