Then run 100 octane unleaded fuel you will gain about 20-30 RWHP by staying out of knock retard which is what they run on on 93 octane.

Are you saying the factory tune will put down 20-30 RWHP over the factory 550ish whp SAE with 100 octane (up to 570-580?), or that you lose 20-30 due to knock retard from the factory 550ish whp SAE and gain it back with 100 octane to make the full 550ish?

Yes sir, 93 or 91 octane fuel limits the LT4 engine from it's full potential, proved it on my dyno.

Ted.

Ted.
Is this why switching to E85 makes such a big improvement on LT engines?

Ted, any particular 100 octane that is your favorite? I.E. oxygenated, non-oxygenated, Sunoco, etc?

There are a lot of good companies we have access to VP and Sunoco here.

Always Oxygenated.

We dyno hundreds of cars a year and trends build on same cars typical ZL-1 are 530-560 RWHP depending on fuel quality, and 580-590 on 100 octane.
