IPF tune installation? (V6)
Hey guys I just bought an IPF tune with the module and I'm curious as to if I have to use a laptop/pc to start the tuning progress or do I take it out of the box and just plug it into the OBD port straight from the box? Please help guys

you have to download an application on the PC, connect to that, then it will tell you to take to car, its a back and forth process.

When you bought the unit they should have emailed the instructions to you in a pdf format. Go back through any emails from IPF or KPE and look for an attachment.
To download the IPF operator program, go to the www.ipf-tuning.com website, scroll down to the footer area, and choose the IPF operator link under Downloads. Let us know your impressions after you get it installed and drive the car a while!

Ok I just checked and I found the instructions. I'm a bit disappointed because I was told it's simple plug and play straight out the box:/

It's plug and play. It has to learn the car when you plug it, compute it when you plug into the computer, load the tune, then load the tune into the car.
Wouldn't be a very good tune if you just plugged in and installed, wouldn't really know your car. And it all takes like 20 minutes anyways

Can anyone give me a step by step instruction on installation? It would be greatly appreciated. The instructions come up all distorted on my PC, I think it's because I'm missing a plugin.

Download the IPF Operator (bottom of IPFs website, click and it downloads), update it, then follow the onscreen instructions. It'll then have you go plug the tuner into the car, wait til the light is solid if I remember correctly (the tuner will give detailed instructions) then plug it into the computer. The tuning suite will notice it and tell you to pick the tune, it uploads then go plug it into your car and then wait 15ish minutes. And you're done

At one point the key will need to be in the on position if i remember correctly, though the suite should tell you exactly what to do

There should be an English one. If not it should be dual German/English

Ok judging from what your saying and the video that I jus watched on another computer it seems that it's very easy. But the IPF Operator is still in German? I've installed and uninstalled it twice, and still. What should I do?

Call IPF, they can e-mail you the link to the operator on their server in Arizona.

I sent an email to Andy from IPF. He's going to solve it tomorrow.
