You could trade in your performance car for a sedan. All cars like ours have aggressive brake pads, par for the course.

Mine work and look fine. Maybe you didn’t clean the rotors or bed them in properly after install?

This is 5000+ miles and 20ish months...

Cleaned well with CRC brake cleaner at install and did a prompt bedding.

I followed the instructions, rotors had about 500 miles on them. They worked fine for about 6 months. After that they started to spot the rotor and maybe a year into them they were all screwed up.

I installed these pads on my Hellcat last spring. The car had about 5K miles on it with the stock Brembo pads so there was plenty of stock pad material on the rotors.

I bedded the brakes as per the instructions and never had this issue.
Logically I just don’t see how you can go from no issues for 6 months to suddenly having problems.

Do you feel any pulsating in the brake pedal when you brake hard? You described it as the cabin vibrating. I would think your brake pedal would feel funky if you had rotor or brake pad issues.

Maybe the pads are not the issue here.

No, not on the pedal or steering wheel, but it only happens on hard, high speed brakes and the rotors look like crap which is the reason I'm assuming it's the brakes.

I'm talking about a 130-140mph hard stop to maybe 50-40mph. Plus, the car's braking performance is horrid.

Either way, I have a new set of pads on the way. We'll see how those go.

Update.

So I installed EBC yellow stuff pads (DP41788R and DP41853R) which is supposed to work on my ZL1 according to Summit Racing. The pads went it easily and driving around for a couple of days I have to say the stopping power is down right amazing (granted, my power stop pads were terrible).

With that said, I didn't realize when I installed it that the front pads were short than the oem/power stop ones. Like 1/2" shorter. I painted the part it doesn't make contact so you can see the difference.

With that said though, the braking power is certainly there. Should I care about this? They were pretty expensive so it kinda irks me, but I may be overthinking it. Thoughts?

Whoops sorry I missed the update!

I use EBC alot I have they yellows on 3 different cars. They dust half? as bad as stock Brembos do.

That said it looks like you have the incorrect pad. EDIT: I think these are the correct ones. FMSI D1835

The only issue I had with the EBC...i think the pad part number you have is on my SRT Jeep....is brand new they were about .120" thinner pad material than the brembos I took off used. I felt kinda cheated.

G-Loc street compound. I always put them on my cars and they're a fantastic upgrade from OEM.

Doesn't look like they make G-Loc pads for the 6th Gen ZL1... http://www.g-locbrakes.com/products/brake-pads/search/

Looks like they only offer them for the 5th Gen.

I promise they do, I have them on my car

Both G-Loc and Carbotech aren't very good at keeping their site updated, but I have always bought their pads through Greene Performance. They put the order in with G-Loc, they make the pads and drop ship them to you all within a week.

GS-1 are their street compound pads.
