Front end splitter and driveways
Has anybody damaged there splitters going in or out of a driveway? Did not think it was low enough to be possible but it actually happened to me this weekend. No major damage definitely scuffed the bottom of it. Will have to be more careful I guess.

You could try some splitter guards. I have them on my 15 1LE and they have been great. Not sure how/if these would fit on a 6th gen 1LE.

Not in my own driveway, but it's happened to me.

I try to enter and exit at an angle and never straight into inclined driveways, including our own, ramps and such. No scuffing so far, hope it stays this way.
Quality splitter protectors cost a pretty penny, I can't justify spending $2-300 on something that protects a $450 splitter and reduces clearance even further (not exact numbers, but you get the point, unless one is running a $1k+ carbon fiber piece, a protector isn't a great value IMO).

I would be real hard to do it on the 19 splitters.

I bought some curb ramps on amazon that work great. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07SVZX9N2..._6y5jEbHGWXA57
No issues at all with the 1LE and even my wife loves them for he SUV. |

You learn with a car like this to take curbs and entrances/exits at an angle and you NEVER go into something that you aren't sure you can get out of. It's not that big of a deal when you train yourself for it. The subaru I had had the big front nose that contained the engine, the last camaro I had with the ground effects, the current 1LE, it's all the same and you just respect it. You also err on the side of caution pulling up to curbs/parking lot stops. Better to be 3 feet back than smash the splitter.

Is the 1LE splitter easily removable and replaceable? If so, anyone remove it for regular daily use and put it back on for track driving? I have a steep driveway (goes up as you enter from the street) and worry the splitter would scrape. My 911 will scrape the front lip unless I enter at a steep angle and I have to back down and angle when leaving.

Some aftermarket splitters, for example, C7 Carbon don't have anything other than holes for existing bumper bolts, those may be easier to keep swapping on and off as part of track prep. You can even stick some single sided tape onto the splitter to seal up those holes and enjoy the best of both worlds.
