Magnuson 2.3L for 2017+ ZL1 (LT4)

Hello friends!

Exciting news!!! A Magnuson 2300 Heartbeat is now available for the 2017+ LT4 Chevy Camaro ZL1. This kit comes with everything necessary to swap your old stock R1740 supercharger with a bigger, better, more efficient, and higher horsepower capable Magnuson 2300. Here is info on the kit:

Horsepower increase: 50-60 RWHP gains from just the swap alone with the stock pulley. The Supercharger has potential of 250-300 RWHP gains with the appropriate pulleys, fuel system, throttle body, etc.

See more HERE
Give us a call and get on the list today!

Interesting news to hear.

Which stock pulley are you referring to, the one that comes with out 1700, or the one that comes on the Maggie 2300? If its the Maggie, what is the pulley size on that one?

For me and many like me, this may be the best solution for power vs cost. What we looking at $$$ wise for a base kit?

It would be the stock pulley that comes on the 2.3L Magnuson. And i'm not exactly sure what size Magnuson has specked it with. I assume whatever makes 8-10 psi. Pricing is $4,995 for the complete kit.

That is a fair price! But isn't the 2.65L in development?

It is. Last word I had from a Maggie Rep, C Trucks will be first then moving on the the Camaro. Might be LT1 first then LT4, but who knows.... Said anything for the 2.65L LT4 is quite a ways out since the Truck and LT1 are fairly interchangeable. Such as the development of this 2.3L on the LT1 was first....

Well, I'd imagine with a pulley down, fuel system upgrades, meth, cam, some nice tuning, you could be all in $10k with labor. Prob make 750 to the wheels.

You might be right. If the 2.9L Whipple adds 125HP costs $5900 and the Maggie 2300 costs $5000 for 60HP, then the...

Whipple is $47/hp
Maggie is $83/hp

I agree, that's more expensive. The Maggie would need to have way better cooling capability over the Whipple. And maybe it does?

looks like the edelbrock kit is way ahead as far as release date.. at least there is a car from red line running around with a 2650. And no the SEMA twin tb doesn't count it won't even look like that. And talking with them a cfest its gonna be 2 individual bricks vs the giant one from edelbrock. I don't understand whats taking so long I read an article that said companies knew there was going to be a rotor design out(the 2650) while they where making the 2300 so they left room in housing to accommodate the new rotor. I can only assume they were talking about the dodge and mustang since they are all ready out.

5k seems a bit high if the kit doesn't need a lower pulley or balancer, crank pin kit, tensioner, water pump, heat exchanger, filter box, and electronics or various hoses..

would sell the crap out of them at 3k especially since they are on the way out.

I definitely wouldn't recommend it to someone who didn't have plans of making much more than the base kit. I'm confident most if not all will buy this with plans of bigger and more efficient power than the stock blower car provide.

All the best,

The JDP Team
