Anyone with expirience in .22LR?

So I'm getting into a new hobby: Shooting.

I'm picking up my first rifle just for target shooting and plinking. The .22LR makes a ton of sense, cheap, reliable, easy to use, not too much for a first rifle.

Anyways I've narrowed it down to the Marlin 60SS, Ruger 10/22 or Marlin 795S...

Anyone have experience with any of these firearms?

How much did that set you back?

I'd be looking to spend 250 tops.... Don't want to blow too much on this gun... many more to come

Dang.

My plan is to have the .22LR for a few months, learn the ins and outs... then go get a .223 Rem

Probably an AR15 or Benelli MR1.

Then move on up to a .270 Browning Medallion

IMHO the 250 Mark you out wont even buy the gun and a scope. Just remember you get what you pay for (Defiantly) in Scopes and any type of optics.

Local Gun shop sells those for 249.00 and I've got a buddy who will be lending me a scope.

How do you like that X-bolt?

I'm hoping to pick up a .270 X-bolt by the end of the year. That's one sweet gun.

Its not as much that I love the laminated, but it doesn't look nearly as cheap as the low quality walnut stock that comes on the $100 model lol...

Its a small town, you probably have to Google map it.
