Lowering a (non-1LE) 2SS with MRC, will it rub?

I have a 2020 2SS (NON-1LE) with Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) but I have 1LE spec wheels & tires (MRR017 wheels and 285/30 & 305/30 tires).

I appear to have a bit of poke, especially in the front, I am worried if I lower this car with these Eibach Lowering Springs I may get some tire rub on the fender lip which obviously I absolutely do not want...

Is this something to worry about or will the suspension hit the bump stops before the tire hits the fender?

I've never lowered a car before so am not sure what to expect, I am just looking to close up the tire/fender gap a bit as it got a bit wider when I put on the lower profile 1LE sized wheels/tires...

Any help/feedback is greatly appreciated!

I have the exact same setup on mine and it’s never been an issue.

Thank you for that, I'm thinking it will be OK, but wanted to check... The front "poke" gave me some pause (even though the MRR017 should theoretically be 3mm further inset than the OEM 1LE wheels (+23mm vs +20mm offset), but seeing the tire "Poke" a bit made me worry... I'd really like to drop about 0.75" to 1.00" or so to close the gap but ABSOLUTELY do NOT want any rubbing whatsoever... I'd much rather have the gap than any rubbing...

M1nd64m3 do you have the same amount of front wheel "poke" as I do? Also, how much did the Eibach springs really lower your car? I am having a hard time getting a solid answer on that for an SS with Mag Ride but not a 1LE...

It looks like you have slightly more poke but that could be due to the angle of the picture, could be tires (I have the stock 1le Goodyears) or me having more camber from lowering/my alignment. Hard to say how much it lowered the car since I did this a long time ago.

Car rides fine with the springs, slightly harsher. I’ve never experienced any rubbing, it’s low, fills the wheel wells without slamming the car to the ground. I’ll have to double check what springs I have because I remember there being more options at the time with mine being MRC specific springs. I’m sure these springs will be just fine. Here are some pics of mine to give you an idea.

Thanks for the pictures, yeah looks like I have a bit more poke on the fronts than you do...

If you find which springs you installed, that would be great to know as well.

Thanks!

Just to confirm, you both have Magnetic Ride Control but are NOT 1LE's?

Lowering a (non-1LE) 2SS with MRC, will it rub?

Lowering a non-1LE 2SS with Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) may lead to potential rubbing issues. The lowered suspension alters the vehicle's height, and with MRC, there could be changes in the dynamics. It's crucial to consider wheel and tire specifications to ensure proper clearance and avoid rubbing. Additionally, consulting with automotive experts or forums specific to your vehicle model can provide valuable insights and recommendations for a smooth and trouble-free modification.
