ZL1 or ZL1 1LE

I am looking at used Z's
Ist 2019 is an Orange M6 non-1LE M-6
2nd 2019 Blue Non 1LE a-10 12k miles
3rd 2020 Green/yellow 4k miles A-10
4th 2021 Satin Steel 1LE A-10
The 1LE car are 74k
Non are 67-60k

Question I only drove a 1LE car, would I be happy with a Non 1LE car?
Or can a simple driver even tell the difference?
Be a Sunday driver car.

If you are not going to primarily track it - get the non 1LE…

I test drove a 5th gen zl1, 6th gen ss with magnetic ride and now own a zl1 1le. I decided I wanted to track the car hence the choice. For street, the zl1 suspension is absolutely awesome. If I were not to track my camaro hands down I would have bought the zl1 instead.

David the shock color car that you posted to one of the camaro pages on face book is not a zl1 1le. Its has a 1le spoiler which you could order right from chevy on any camaro in 2020 and up until recently. I have a zl1 1le and an ss 1le with way more power than a stock zl1. I bought the zl1 1le because its more unique than the zl1. I have had it on the track once. Don't listen to what people say about how it rides go take one for a longer test drive and decide for yourself. I live in Nh where we see bad winters and the roads are not great and for me the ride is fine even my wife doesn't mind it at all but there are a lot of people that complain about it. Yes the mag ride rides better but I love country back roads and cornering and the zl1 1le is awesome for that although my ss 1le with the eibach 1le specific lowering springs is pretty close if you stay out of the throttle in the corner. The ss 1le though doesn't have the same rarity though but no matter what way you go they are both awesome choices. If I was going on color alone the orange zl1 would get my pick.

100%. People forget that the 5th Gen Z28 sold rather poorly because it was a track focused car. The ZL1 1LE is the 6th Gen replacement for the Z28. People that buy them for the aero pieces usually end up regretting it. Those that buy them for the track, love them. The standard ZL1 checks all the boxes and will corner far better than the majority of drivers can handle. It's also slightly quicker in a straight line and the adjustable suspension allows for multiple use, street driving or track driving.

Of course you can enjoy the more docile ZL1 and then like many of the posers here put a fake big wing on it and the Canards and and, you get my point. And don’t forget the ever popular ricer tow hook.

Why is it fake to install aero components on a car? I didn't realize the 1LE was exclusive like a Dodge Demon. People like you give 1LE owners a bad reputation.

The ZL1 isn't a soft car. It's not rough, either. In Tour mode it's surprisingly comfortable, and the damping gets stiffer in sport and track. It's extremely capable, and for the street it's more than enough.

BTW, you don't have to say "Non 1LE" when referring to a ZL1. ZL1 is sufficient. We differentiate between the two by saying ZL1 1LE, or commonly "ZLE", when it has the 1LE package.

Another factor to keep in mind for those that buy the 1LE Extreme Track Package and drive them on the street are the high failure rate of the shocks. GM will cover them under warranty but when the warranty expires they are quite pricey and this assumes you dont mind leaving your car at the dealer for replacement several times during the warranty period. I'm sure the failure depends largely on the roads in your area, some owners only need to replace them once, some several times.

Why buy used? At those prices, you can get one that hasn't been farted in.

This rings true if you can find a dealer selling one at MSRP.

I would never fart in my Camaro. Always right before I enter and 30 seconds to air it out. Come on we’re not animals.
