So who's going to be the first to FI their LT1?

So who's going to be the first the go FI on their LT1.

I mean the engine is rated at 455hp so FI should push it up to 575-580 or so right?

Will the 6th Gen be able to handle this addition HP in the drivetrain from the factory?

Is there going to be room for either a turbocharger or supercharger? The engine bay seems extremely cramped as it is. I'd imagine some things may need to get stripped.

The C7 Stingray Magnuson Heartbeat TVS 2300, is giving you 630HP at the crank. Here is a review from Smoking tire who did a review on the C7 with the TVS 2300 installed.

I may wait for another year before thinking about adding a Super Charger.

Planning on boost myself but will wait at least a year to see what options are available.

I would of been all for this a year ago. After modifying my last few brand new cars, I have decided I'm never modifying a brand new car again. That's just me, personally.

I think many more will supercharge the V-6 since there is more engine bay room.

My guess is there won't be that much more room. The 60-degree design and DOHC make it a very tall engine. A top mount will be very difficult and a centri , while possible is not what most people wanted in the 5th Gen. Time will tell though.

There will definitely be supercharger kits for this car. They'll probably be very similar to the kits for the C7 stingray with maybe a few modifications. For FI, it may be a good idea to increase cooling capacity.

Fitting an intercooler up behind the bumper looks like it'll be fun seeing as the SS has three radiators and there's no good place to run the ducting.

I will probably end up procharging about a year or so. Intake, xpipe, ported TB+IM and tuned by Lew using a diablo (already have the Diablo i2) will happen probably as soon as the parts get released from the companies that I will be getting them from... Drive it like that for a year or so and then procharge it.

After seeing video of the dohc I agree. Maybe a turbo setup?

My concern would be the smaller tunnel preventing mid-mount turbo systems; like the ones that became so popular on the 5th gen models. Lower hood profile limits the chances of a top/front mount twin system. It is almost as if GM made it tighter in these mounting areas on purpose.
