Anyone know how much poke ZLE front actually is?

Kind of an odd question, but anyone know how much poke ZLEs actually have outside fender with street alignment? Are wheels themselves flush and it's actually tire poke? Or does wheel poke as well?

I'm installing longer front studs on my ZL1 to fit a spacer on stock wheels, but since it's not a ZLE I'm only after making them flush. I would/should have measured this myself, but lowered the car last weekend and alignment won't be till next week to measure and would like to order spacers now since they'll need to be made. 5mm isn't enough, thinking 7mm may be good unless it's actually tire poke only on a ZLE.

Thanks for any info!

Thanks for the reply! Would that be around 1/2" including tires or just edge of wheel?

Thanks for this info, it appears the tire and wheel sidewall of the ZLE is flush with the wheels. Plugging in the info and knowing the 1LE has ~12.7mm of poke, looks like if I wanted the front wheels to be flush to fender, 9mm spacer should do it. May go with 8mm for any variances to the inside or outside, but in reality no one would notice either way.

To make your stock ZL1 wheels fit like ZLE wheels in regards to the fenders, you'll need 24-25mm spacer up front and 14-15mm spacer in the rear.

Spot on! To match ZLE wheels it will take 24.7mm front and 14.7mm rear spacers.

Since I have a non-1LE, I'm just aiming to get my stock wheels to sit more flush with the fenders. I think/hope it'll look just a bit more aggressive with the wider "stance" (as the kids say). Very well could be a waste of time and money, albeit not alot, but time will tell.

Nah, definitely not a waste. Flush is the way to go all day. I put 20mm spacers front and rear on my ZR1 and it was perfect. Always got comments on the stock wheels because of it. I'd probably start with 20 and 10 mm spacers and then on ebay you can get some 2mm or 3mm spacers to "fine tune" the "flushness". Have fun!!

Exactly my goal, just something easy and fairly cheap to play with, just to make it look a little bit better and keep people wondering.

Since I have 3/5mm already, I'm happy with the 3mm on it now but always been curious to see how 5 would look. Ideally would be great to have just a single spacer on each wheel, one less thing for me to some how misplace in my shop, lol. But I like your idea, stay with a typical and cheap non hubcentric spacer size and get some smaller ones to tinker to get what looks best. Or now that I think about it, just use washers temporarily and then order a custom size hub centric set afterwards. Great suggestion, thanks!

So true! I didn't mention it and should have, but I daily the car so will have the OEM alignment for tire wear, but definitely good point I can adjust it a tad if I want to.

Yeah I agree 20mm front and 10mm in the back should be plenty to make it flush and not poke.

I think that would lead to poke assuming ZLE does have right at 1/2" of poke for both front and rear. It should take 9mm front and 2mm rear to be perfectly flush.

After an alignment next week, I'll double up the 5mm I currently have on one side to see how it looks. I'm hoping it'll have enough thread engagement that I can put the car on the ground and move a little bit for suspension to settle and find out how it looks. I'll definitely snap some pictures and post to share my findings.

FWIW, 0 poke on ZLE with minimum -2.0 camber front, 1.5 camber rear at +-0 toe. I run -2.2F, -1.6, +-0T on the street. My outsides wear way too fast on standard alignment.

There is no poke at all with a more aggressive track alignment (3.0+F, 2.0R, +-0T is my happy place).

Do you change alignment back and forth before and after every event, and if so do you do this yourself?

I leave mine at 3.0 front, 2.0 rear always, switching is too costly and time consuming. I usually get a new alignment before each event.

I always have several sets of tires and after a track event I usually run the last track tires on street. I never drive in cold or rain, but if its a daily I know this doesn’t work.
