Cabin Air Filter

So I’m replacing my cabin air filter. Got old one out no problems. The factory filter (top one in picture) has a very clear “Airflow” arrow pointing down on the right side. But the Wix filter (made in China?? ) only has three tiny arrows on the right side pointing up! So, what’s the consensus, are these “Airflow” arrows and I need to flip it so the writing is upside down? Or are these arrows just saying “this side up”???

Most of the time arrows on a filter means the direction of air flow.

That’s what I figured, and I did install it with those arrows pointing down, just like the original. I just thought it was odd to install it with the writing upside-down. But whatever...it’s done!

There's a shroud under the engine compartment "lid". Got the lid so's I can lift it up to see the shroud, but does the shroud's push pins just pry up and snap loose?

I want to inspect the filter, 'cause I have smelled a dead mouse, 99% sure.
(1SS, 2018) Hope he hasn't got down into the fan or something.

I replaced mine today. What a PITA but I managed to get the pins out and drop the glove box. Putting everything back was snap though. 11,500 miles.

I just changed mine too. I change mine once a year and use STP filters I get from Autozone. They are about $18 and have always worked really well.
