List of first things to do after purchase?

In reading a wide variety of posts, I've heard tidbits of some common issues or things to take care of after first purchasing the car. I'm likely very close to buying a '18 2SS 1LE and want to know what all I should do first. I've heard stuff like rear diff fluid change early, for example. Is there a post that already has a list of this sort?

Here's what I currently have in my head:
  • Rock guards - might consider omitting these if I get PPF and don't like how the rock guards look.
  • PPF/Ceramic coating
  • Oil change at 500m and again at 1500m.
  • Oil catch can
  • ZL1addons lift points and some pucks.
  • Rear diff fluid change at 1500m
  • Paint brake rotor hats black to prevent rust.
  • Manual trans fluid change at 4000m.
  • Tint (20% all around probably).
  • Alignment check (off from factory sometimes).

You'll see in the high performance supplement of your owners manual, a recommendation to change oil at 500m. then again with diff fluid change at 1500m.

IMHO, if you go PPF there is no need for rock guards. Personally I'm not crazy about the way that they look on the car. Without PPF the guards are cheap/ugly insurance against chips.

I installed ZL1addons lift points as soon as I got mine home. Very beneficial. I use 1 lifting puck and 1 hockey puck with a low profile jack.

I am a huge proponent of the CC in a GDI application. I would put some shakedown miles on your car before CC installation, just to make sure that there aren't any warranty issues with your LT1.

Drive that thing and enjoy.

I did:

Catch can

First oil change @ 500 miles
Second oil change and rear diff @ 1500 miles

About to hit 4000 miles and I think I'll do the manual trans fluid at that point.

Haha yes, that one is so obvious that I didn't even mention it, but it is definitely still worth mentioning!

It's probably a good idea to get an alignment check. Mine was pretty off from the factory. Stock tires don't last very long as it is.
