2021 production
Just got these from gm heritage. I was hoping to pin down how unique my car was. Helped some but not what I was looking for exactly.
2021 us camaro production: 25,248 units Of those, 3,881 were 2SS coupe models Of those, 624 were equipped with the 1LE pkg. Of the 3881 2SS coupes, 597 came in 6M Of the 3881 2SS coupes, 1067 came in black. Hope this gives some insight to how rare yours is. Someone should start a registry or something, then all the info would be out there. |

Unbelievable that in 2022 gm still isn't willing to publish an RPO level production breakdown. What could be the potential loss or competitive disadvantage from disclosing how many black M6 2SS 1LE cars were built in 2021?

I recently got some info from the GM Heritage Center, so I thought I'd spend some time to make a spreadsheet to give some general idea of what the production numbers of various colors etc were.
Now........this is a VERY important thing to understand......THESE ARE NOT ACTUAL PRODUCTION NUMBERS. GM provided the total production numbers of 1SS and 2SS cars, and then provided what percent were manuals, what percent were 1LE, the color breakdown percentages. The numbers I have calculated are based on the assumption that the percentages provided are consistent from say a 2SS to a 2SS 1LE, which leaves room for some likely sizeable error. As an example of this, the take rate for manual transmissions in 2SS cars was 15.4% according to GM.........I think its probable that the 2SS 1LE cars likely had a much higher take rate on the 6 spd manual which would obviously impact all the rest of the calculated values. Unfortunately that level of detail wasn't made available to me, so this is the best we have for the time being. So the point I'm trying to convey is to not take the calculated values as an absolute true production number........its not that at all. This is merely to get a general idea of the how rare/common a particular package may be. |
