Should I do it?
Got a job offer in West Palm Beach area. Pretty nice bump in comp at a reputable firm (work in finance). But are there other late 20's - early 30's singles around? Or is it a bunch of older folks, retiree's?
Love the idea of track-season year round! This place Sebring looks super legit, has anyone raced there before? do they do open track days? or is it just events? Also interested in hear about PBIR's roadcourse, anybody driven this? What's it like? Is Florida super flat? or do they find a way to get some elevation into the tracks? Thanks in advance for any insight, |

Florida is flat.... But if I were in your shoes and in PA, considering a move to Florida, I would take that job in a second. Winters suck in the north, why not take the increased pay, and enjoy the time away from the cold and crap weather?

Not a Florida man myself either, but as someone who left NJ for TN and is loving it, let me join the choir and say this move is an absolute no-brainer. I'm sure you'll find a ton of friends and more in your age group, no matter how many retirees are in the area.

Depends on whether or not you like seasons and or cool to cold weather. Personally, I like the cold seasons for about two weeks (that’s it). One of my biggest regrets is not moving around, seeing new places and meeting new people, particularly when I was younger. Based on all of this, if I was you, the answer would be a resounding YES. If you don’t like it, you can try somewhere else, the world is your oyster.

There is a lot of wisdom in the words of arpad_m & Chutzpah! You’ll never have “this” chance again!

what the hell, there's no wisdom in telling him to find an old rich guy at the local bar, inherit all his wealth, and drop a 6 pack on his stony grave once a year? come on man.

Move, seriously. Sebring is a great track for track days as an added benefit. They don't do the 12 Hours of Sebring there every year because it's a piece of crap, haha...
