ZL1 Spoiler - OPINION

Howdy all, I searched and didn't readily find any thoughts on this... I want to know what the general consensus is regarding a ZL1 style spoiler on a 2SS - I have a Mosaic Black '18 2SS - and I personally love the ZL1 spoiler... Since the wing and car would be all black.

I don't want to start a flame war LOL - but I am wondering if the consensus is of this looking good or is it considered "ricey" - (the car will be loud with MBRP exhaust within a week, and I thought the wing might add another level)

Just wondering others thoughts!

If you like it, do it. Doesn’t matter what other camaro owners think. Hell, i see so many Camaros with 24-26” wheels than i do stock camaros. Lol.

I can appreciate that, and you are right... I just don't want to have something that I think is cool, and a bunch of people making fun of me, much like the 26" wheels stuff! LOL

Personally, think aero looks awesome on a car meant for it. Every inch of the zl1 looks purpose bread, not just flashy. That car needs it and if you track your car may be a good upgrade. Just for looks on an SS, personally, not my cup of tea. That said, do your thing! If you like it, bolt that thing on yesterday. I wouldn't ever knock it.

I got shit for my lip that splits the difference between ZL1/ILE styles, prepare your butthole if you go that route. But ultimately, who cares? IMO a part doesn't rise to being a poser. As long as you're not doing badge fakery no harm, no foul.

the reason I was thinking of it, is my car came with this front end, and I think it's super sexy... I was hoping to make the back end of the car look as good.

I should clarify my original question with, how would it be perceived on THIS car.

The ZL1 spoiler doesn't look bad at all.

are you talking about just the zl1 spoiler, or the zl1 1le spoiler? either way, both look good to me.

I have a regular zl1 spoiler coming (got it cheap), but I will get the zl1 1le one eventually if I can get it for a decent price.

to me it follows much like my old days with a 3000gt vr-4. I had a 99 conversion on my car (with the 99 vr-4 wing). yes, it was large and looked out of place, but I liked it, and so did everyone that knew what it was. But I did get called a ricer more times than I liked. I didn't care mainly because my car had the ass to back up what it's visuals were flaunting.

ZL1 1LE - is what I was talking about, the larger one. I personally like it, but I really don't want to be seen as ricey

zl1 1le spoiler is awesome, i don't see how it's perceived that way, your car has over 400 HP, far from an all show no go car.

well, those of us that know what it is, you won't have any problems, but there are those that don't know of the zl1 1le, or know that a stock camaro comes with said wing.

having said that, you will always have people that won't like your car, regardless of what you do to it. To those people, you repeat this phrase "I bought this car for me, not for you. you worry about yourself"

I think standard zl1 would look better on that car, but again MY opinion. If you do it though post it up, happy to eat some crow! Hope it looks BA.
