Buy a 18' with 2' dove tail (20' overall) at least one axle needs brakes. Plan on laying out 2,700 to 3,500 for an open trailer with wood floor and 4000 or more with treaded floor, aluminum would cost 5,000 or more. You can buy an enclosed for 6,500 to 10,000. I got mine for about 7,000 and I paid 2,700 for my last open trailer and added a couple boxes up front

Aluma, Featherlite, and Sundowner are three good brands for open aluminum trailers. 18' or 19' works fine. Steel trailers are way heavier but cheaper. Plan on $7K for a new unit with minimal options and over 8K if you want a winch, rock guard, and/or tire rack. Check racingjunk.com for local used deals. I found mine there.

I had an aluminum Nextrail open trailer I bought new for $6,500. I sold it in 2 days after I listed it on racingjunk.com. I'd try and find something used first.

One of my concerns is the door clearing the fender. I’m too old and fat too climb in and out lol

As far as the Aluma trailer is concerned, the fender covers screw off for easy access.

Why’d you sell it?

I was using it for the Viper. Now that I have the ZL1 I can drive to the track and the wife won't complain about being uncomfortable for 3 hours.

Very nice... I just picked up a 8220 Tilt last week (was $7400 before tax). Bringing it back to the house tomorrow so I can load the car on her and size it up for eTrack. Super nice rig.

Any issues with the front dragging? I have an H&H tilt bed and had to get Race Ramps so the front splitter would clear with my 1LE.

I saw one of these at the track last weekend. This is one of the slickest trailers I've ever seen.

https://www.futuratrailers.com/

It lowers down like all the way to the ground, loading is so easy. Plus it has a remote so you can lower it from inside the car.

I would also check ATC. I was looking at 18' aluminum open trailers last year and was about ready to get a Featherlite, when I happened across ATC. I ended up getting an enclosed 20' Vee nose ATC instead of their flatbed. Aluminum is the way to go if you can swing the $$$.
