All season tires on ss?

So I’m thinking of ordering a 2ss once GM makes cars again. Can I order it with all season tires? I’m going to daily drive it in Ohio. Is it more expensive?

Not sure about ordering the car from factory but you could just pick up a spare set of wheels from someone who wants to get them out of their garage and put all seasons on them. (what i did) Run your all seasons for commuting and have hi performance tires for trackdays or spirited wheekend trips. If you are commuting it might be better to get a set of 19" wheels and run a square setup so you can rotate the tires for better tread wear.

Based on the footnote here I’d say you can’t order with all season tires.

You can't order with all seasons. A set DWS 06 Continentals will run you 850

Life is too short to run all-seasons during the summer. Best combo is winter and summers, or if you are in a mild location, summers and all-seasons.

Can you drive with summer tires when it’s really cold out? Or is it just snow you’re not supposed to drive with them on?

Even the best high perf summer tire will be slippery under 40 °F and behave like skates at about 32 °F. If it's colder than even that, you will start physically damaging (cracking) the tires.

You'd be much better off with a summer/winter set, or if it's too expensive, go with all-seasons knowing you will compromise dry traction in warm weather. No personal experience with high end all-season tires, but it's said they are now closer than ever to summer tires in terms of performance.

OP I did it the other way around. I ordered an LT1 and added all the Camaro options I wanted and kept it under $40K. It comes with all season runflats and I added better looking wheels for $100. This will be my winter setup. But I already have MRR 1LE wheels for the summer.

If you are not familiar with the LT1 it is missing the standard SS Track cooling and rear Brembos. But the LT1 model has all the other LT1 good stuff including world class handling. On a race track the LT1 with better tires will keep up with a SS but only for a lap or two. If that matters to you. It accelerates, handles, and stops as well an SS. I would know, I owned a 2016 M6 2SS and an A10 ZL1. My LT1 is now my favorite Camaro ever and I have owned 8 of them.

Also if you order go with Becky. You will not be sorry.

I can say this, I'm not a fan of run flats. Definitely not replacing mine with OEM tires when they're due for replacement. I'll get a can of fix-o-flat or the kit that comes with lower end Camaros and throw that in the trunk.

I'm in a similar situation as the OP. I would like the tires to be all season too as I live in NW Ohio and would use it as a DD. I've been doing the second set for years (all seasons in the summer and part of fall and spring and switching the wheels for a winter set in the winter). It is a little more that way and I can't seem to get rid of my 2nd sets. I have a set of genesis coupe wheels and mustang wheels stacked in my parents garage now. My parents are getting up there in age so I'm not sure how much longer I will be able to go over there and switch them out. Been thinking of trying to sell my house and get one with a garage.

I went with all seasons- Toyo Exenzas on my new Stance 20" wheels. Love them- super quiet, nice ride and more than enough grip for me for daily driving wet or dry conditions. And all seasons last longer than most summer tires and I have square set up for tire rotations.

Running Continental Extreme Contacts. 2nd car with them, also had on my C7. The OEM Pilots were skis with temps in Milwaukee 30-45 degrees during winter. I run the car all 12 months- NOT snow or salt days, or temps under 30. Instant change once the Contis were on the car. And they run in light snow, which can happen here Oct-April if you get caught being out.

Roads are bad here ALL year so all-season ultra performance are my best friend... haven't had them during warm weather yet, but ran them in summer on my C7 and hooked up perfectly. For me (I don't track my cars), Contis or A/S3+ work best.

As most will say, it'd be ideal to have 2 sets of wheels/tires for warm/cold weather. If that isn't an option because of money or space, then the Continental DWS 06 and Michelin a/s 3+ are really your best options. The Contis are better in the snow and the Michelins are better in the summer months. Take your pick. Though, with 450 hp, I'm not sure I'd want all seasons. IMO the SS is already under tired at 275s, and all seasons will just highlight that more.

I just put the Michelin a/s 3+ on my car, and they seem to be pretty close to the Hankook summer tires that I bought it with. I haven't tested g-forces or anything, but the butt g-meter says they're pretty on par. They're not going to compete with the class-leading summers, but class-leading all seasons and budget summer tires are close as far as grip goes.
