Smile Backend Jacked Up on 2014 Camaro LS

I am sure you all remember the 1970's Camaro with 50's tires on the back and jacked up a bit. Man those things look bad to the bone in my opinion.

Has anyone ever jacked up at 5th Gen Camaro? If so, how do you do that or what do you use to accomplish that? It may look dumb, I just have never seen a 5th Gen jacked up.

Anyone have photos?

Thanks very much!!!

I think he is meaning more "gasser" style. Like in the 70s when they lifted the rears to stuff as big of a tire as they could in the back. See it a lot in old novas/gtos/etc..

Sorry OP, never seen someone do that on a 5th gen, so not really sure bout that one

Hard to do due to the nature of the independent suspension. If you recall, those older cars were leaf sprung and straight axle rear ends.

I think this is more what the OP is referring to, it was THE LOOK back in the 70's:

You could get somewhat of a raked look by dropping the front with lowering springs, but probably pretty hard to get the drastic rake of the old air shocked cars.

the fancy camaro computer will not like a huge difference in tire size, so you cannot go that way. It would have to be a suspension type lift in the back.

This thread reminded me of LittleMT's car. It was only lowered in the front and looked good with the Forgestars.

if you install coil over shocks, your ride height will be adjustable.
Most people go down - you could go up if you wanted to.

Not sure how much you want to elevate the rear...

Oh my gosh! You guys have made my day!! You all are freaking awesome! I just remember how cool it used to look where the backend was lifted about 6 inches or so higher than the front end. I did not know what you called it. Maybe "jacked up" is a Mississippi term (where I am from). Lowering the front is a great idea Jay_LHD3. LittleMT's car is bad ass looking!

It's a solid performance mod. You are going to go much faster because you are always going down hill...
