I am glad they delayed the Z/28 model, i don't want my car to be obsolete already. Maybe the Gen 7 is in jeopardy?

This is like the Z06X that they never built - this thing will be a legitimate competitor of Viper ACR and GT3 RS.
I like it........ I like it very much......

Man, no doubt this is a bad boy, but I would have to have dual rear spoilers. One for cruising and that high thing monstrosity for racing. Just couldn't cruise with that, just couldn't do it.

Wow, holy crap!!!
With the continued performance increases at Team Camaro, are they simply setting us up for the introduction of a much more expensive lineup of Corvettes - Mid Engine is coming for sure.... Either way, GM will get more of my money this summer. |

All the press release says is "The 2018 Camaro ZL1 1LE goes on sale later this year" So sometime after the model year change over but before December 31st. Thats not a whole lot to go on, but its better than nothing.

Nobody pointed this out yet, but I think this is a nod to the 2010 Camaro "SSX" prototype which similarly had a huge wing. It ended up fueling development of both the 5th gen ZL1 and 1LE. Look at the "X" on the side of the 2010 prototype compared to this new ZL1 1LE. Same exact style.

These cars have rolled out so quickly. Assuming there will be MY 2019 and 2020 in the gen6 run, there will be another IMO.

If you are on a track... why do you need heated/cooled seats and navigation? They could have saved weight there no?

I'm so glad I don't want this LOL, much rather have a ZL1 A10 with magnetic dampers.
On a positive note, I'm willing to bet the track performance of this ZL1-1LE lands right in the middle between the super fast Grand Sport Z07 and the crazy Z06/Z07. And that is freaky fast. Last edited by mcsoul; 02-24-2017 at 07:12 PM. |

I hope we can buy this part because I really want it to match the dark tail lights.
