Quite a lot, actually....

More, most recently, since the cars are better suited for it than they were in the past.

That's why they make a streetable ZL1 with M6 and A10. There is a lot to choose from in the performance line. LT-1LE, SS w/opt mrc and M6 or A8, SS-1LE, ZL1 w/opt A10 and ZL1-1LE.

Celebrate people and pray the good times continue.

They sell quite a bunch of them too. Those who actually track their cars are few and far between. I can easily see an owner wanting to wring the car out. It is a quite capable car on a turn course. Very impressive car as compared to those costing much much more.

Have you seen the Viper ACR? This is the same thing.
Actually, i think plenty of us 'get it'. And the benefits of all these aero bits are well understood. What you may not realize is that for some, our zl1s may not be our daily drivers, but they're also not our track day only vehicle. For me, that means i don't want to look like a clown 95% of the time that I'm actually in the car.

GM may have been confused with what the objective of this vehicle is. Maybe because the last z28 was too narrow in scope with its creature comforts, they decided to include some of those in this model. My things is that this is gonna be a really low volume option on an already low volume vehicle. If you're gonna make a track car, make a no-apologies track car....ditch the backseat altogether, get rid of the power seats, or put a basic stereo in there. Ford got it right. The 350r is a track car and for all of its lack of amenities, I'd still drive that thing around town without embarrassment. GM was just trying to please to many people on this one. Clearly, some guys like the look of the car, so hey.

Might look better with a blackout vinyl placed between / around the tail lamps like the 2016 "Performance" concept.

Here's a very rough Photoshop job. I think it makes the rear of the car look more planted and less tall. It also goes great with the dark wing, dark tail lamps, and dark 3rd brake light.

Just order the back fifty sticker
I had to replace mine on my fifty because scratched from the shipping...
It was replaced like a new one.
I was thinking about putting it on the 2017 Zl1.
Because it's a fifty model...
The rear will be black and because the fifty is clear it will appear red on my red hot!

I absolutely love the look and that has been the case from the first time we got a peak at the test car on the 'Ring, I just need to find a way to be able afford one.

P.S. I'm definitely part of the track day guys who use their car's regularly for what it was designed for and it's my DD also.

I would bet that this percentage is very close to reality. I am sure that there is a greater % of trackers among forum members here but understand that this is an internet enthusiast site where the guys who do road race this stuff are going to be. The overwhelming majority of these cars spend the first 2 or 3 years of their lives in show room, polished condition and do not get raced. How many "off road" capable new 60 or 70 thousand dollar new pick ups are ever off a paved road, same idea guys.

And you can't be serious about this comment. Have you seen the standard zl1 on the track? Conversations about its inability to turn are nonexistent.

I thought Al had said they were working on a Z/28 in one of this videos talking about the ZL1.. I'll look for it when I get time later I could be completely wrong. Funny how most of us didn't see this coming or even predict something like it.
