Like I said I will continue trying to figure out a way, but until then I will not be on.

I could never figure out how you were doing it before the new update, lol.

Does anyone know how long it actually takes for the Camaro to be fully assembled once it enters the assembly line? Maybe there are some members here who worked at the plant...

Hey, Gearhead
Is it safe to assume that the "Target Production Period" of 10-Jul-23 is the planned build period of the vehicles with constraints? Of course s__t can happen
On Order since May 2022/ ZLE RADRED

You are complaining about my posts, that are complaining about other people’s posts. So, it looks like we are doing the same thing. So maybe you should take your own advice and just chill the **** out too.

Listen, you are not special here. You've been here a few months and you're already making an ass out of yourself. If you like posting here, you should probably tone down your shitty attitude.

It is literally like a day once it drops from paint shop to general assembly. I think that is the point it is assigned a vin. They usually have a mix bank of painted bodies in different colors outside paint and drop them as needed. I have never been inside LGR, but that his how most plants run.

I watched my Camaro in final assembly last Summer. I got there about 9:00 AM and the drivetrain was already mated to the car. The car was completed and taken to be one of five that day, that received a complete QC inspection. It was taken to QC about 1:30 PM.

That must have been an awesome experience. I didn't know that you can peek in (I assume you were an exception).

Five cars a day doesn't sound a lot. If you look up the sales figures, let's say they have been producing 30,000 cars per year in the last few years, even if they worked 7 days a week, that doesn't add up. Even in 3 shifts, which I'm not sure they do. And somebody was talking about it in another thread that LGR produces also the Cadillacs, not sure if they run on a dedicated assembly line.

Looking at the annual sales numbers, somebody who understands this please tell us what happened to the brand - they were running 70 to almost 100 thousand per year since the reintroduction in 2010. Then they dropped to barely 30k, if that. I don't believe it was just COVID...

They only pull a total of five cars per day for QC(Quality Control). That includes the Camaros and Cadillacs produced there. They work Monday through Thursday. They produce lots of cars at the plant.

How did you get to do that?! I was in MI a few weeks ago and was wondering if there's any way to visit the plant, but it didn't look like it.

A friend works at GM in Detroit. He was able to arrange it and meet me there.

For those who have received their cars already, approximately how long was it after you found out your TPW that you received yours? I just got a TPW of June 12th for mine so I'm starting to get excited.

Very cool. Hopefully you got video and hand the car down to your kids.
