OEM front rotors price

Gents,

My car is due for new rotors, where do you guys buy yours ? best price I could get was $980 for the pair without taxes... do you know any better deal ?

Not looking at rings or whatever, just want the OEM stuff.

Cheers
TM

Why do you think you need new rotors? Post a pic.
Best price is usually Rock Auto or Amazon using the AC Delco numbers.
177-1193 and 177-1194 Rock Auto omits the dashes

My attempt to upload the pics was not successful...

They have 30k miles and around 10 track days. I might be able to do a few more road miles but I want a spare set for my next track day

Last time I checked, Amazon had two stock rotors and a set of stock front pads from a vendor at a touch over $1,000, $1,040 maybe?

Ken over at KNS brakes, he has several options for rotor rings that are equal to or better than the OE rotors and at prices less than the OE stuff.

I went thru him for my 17 SS 1LE rotors, I went with Girodisc for the front rings and Stoptech for the rear rotors.

You can get better rings for less than OEM full assembly. But 'better' becomes a bit subjective, right?

Very true!

I'd never run less rotor mass however, due to cooling and longevity considerations, which are impressive with OEM Brembos.
I'd also never reuse the hat bolts and $176 extra for a whole pre fabbed assembly is a great deal and great peace of mind imo. Note the hats dont last forever either. But, that's me

PS Having said that, it is good to have choices

I m pretty happy about the OEM performance, no need to upgrade rotors...
I have more confidence in GM and Brembo validation testing than aftermarket.
GM went though a very thorough validation plan for the OEM stuff (maybe even including some tracking at Milford PG) not sure about aftermarket...But that's my personal opinion...cheers
